What are the responsibilities and job description for the Materials Handler position at RWJBarnabas Health?
Job Overview:
Materials Handlers are responsible for managing supply chain activities in the assigned area under the direction of the supply chain management.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred:
- Supply Chain experience preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
Scheduling Requirements:
- Full Time Day
- 10am - 6:30pm
- Rotating weekends and holidays
Essential Functions:
- Performs procurement activities for assigned areas in a cost-effective manner using current inventory management processes and procedures
- Communicates product concerns to supply chain management and seeks input or approval from the Clinical Resource Directors (CRD) for all newly requested items prior to placing an order
- Consistently anticipates customer needs and expectations; responds to supply inquiries in a timely and effective manner
