Job Overview:
The Mental Health Associate will be responsible for the facilitation of activity groups in an inpatient program.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, or related field preferred or a Bachelor's degree with one year of relevant work experience interacting with patients and the community
- Current BLS certification or successful completion of required training to attain certification within three months of the start date.
Preferred:
Certifications and Licenses required (if applicable):
- Current BLS certification or successful completion of required training to attain certification within three months of the start date.
Scheduling Requirements (non-exempt positions):
- Shift working, 9:00 5:00 each day
- Days to work
- FT/PD
Essential Functions:
- Maintains unit safely and facilitates daily activity of the patients
- Assists patients in activities of daily living
- Conduct rounds
- Records accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Assists in code responses as per policy and by training
- Assists in securing patients' belongings
