RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Full-Time Pediatric Nephrologist for Employment in Northern Jersey!
The Departments of Pediatrics at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center and The Children’s Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center are seeking a board-certified Pediatric Nephrologist to join our team working in both Livingston and Newark.
Both centers have a total of 51 Pediatric inpatient beds, 135 NICU beds and 31 ICU beds. This physician will be joining an expanding team of 2 Pediatric Nephrologists, 2 Registered Nurses, and 1 full-time Social Worker. This position will focus on cultivating the continued development of our Pediatric Nephrology team, in addition to opportunities for personal career growth.
The successful applicant will spend the bulk of their time in clinical care at either institution and would be expected to round at the various dialysis facilities affiliated with our division. Our team works together with the Kidney Transplant Center at RWJ Barnabas Hospital, one of the largest in the nation. Knowledge of kidney transplantation, kidney biopsy procedures, and the various dialysis modalities is expected.
Clinical duties will be flexible and include daily outpatient clinics and inpatient attending and consult responsibilities for the Barnabas Health Children’s Kidney Center service. This position requires a strong commitment to teaching and education of medical students, pediatric residents, as well as other members of the multidisciplinary Nephrology team. The position is available immediately.
Candidate requirements :
- D. / D.O. degree
- Must be BC / BE in pediatric nephrology with sufficient fellowship training
- NJ licensed or eligibility for NJ licensure
