Job Overview:
The IV Pharmacy Technician assists in the provision of pharmaceutical services under the supervision of a registered Pharmacist by performing the technical, clerical and manipulative tasks involving mixing sterile products in a clean room, dispensing, preparing, and distributing all medications and pharmaceutical products for all patient age groups (includes geriatrics, adults, adolescents, pediatric and neonatal). They will be comfortable working in a fast-paced pharmacy environment with strong multitasking skills. Work and/or performance shall conform to written established policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Preferred:
- IV Certified pharmacy technician preferred.
- One year of IV pharmacy experience is preferred.
Certifications and Licenses Required:
- New Jersey Pharmacy Technician Registration, or obtained within six months of the start date as a Pharmacy Technician.
Scheduling Requirements:
- Full-time, Day
- Should be available to work on weekends and/or weekdays.
