Job Overview:
Supply Chain linen supervisors are responsible for supervising the storage and distribution of clean linen at assigned facility. In facilities that collect soiled linen, Supply Chain linen supervisors oversee the process of proper collection of soiled linen and the staging of soiled for vendor pick up. Supply Chain linen supervisors manage Supply Chain linen clerks assigned to linen operations. Consistently promotes, supports and understands the importance of linen in patient care areas. Identifies customer needs, manages expectations and responds to inquiries in a timely and effective manner. Anticipates and avoids delays that can adversely affect the customer. Communicates with customers regarding the status of pending actions and inquiries about products or services.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Excellent customer service skills required
- 2-3 year related prior experience
Preferred:
- Healthcare management experience preferred
Scheduling Requirements:
- Shift- 6:00am- 2:00pm
- Monday-Friday/ On call as needed
- Full Time/Day
Essential Functions:
- Practices and adheres to all department and organizational policies, procedures, training and initiatives
- Supervises Supply Chain linen clerks
- Monitors clean and soiled utility rooms for proper storage of linen
- Performs daily documented facility rounds
- Oversees the maintenance of daily log/tracking processes where appropriate. Conducts daily rounding and staff support
- Responsible for identifying and reporting safety concerns, medical errors, device malfunction, and facility damage (walls, ceiling tiles, etc.)
- Performs all duties as assigned.
