Job Overview:
Children s Specialized Hospital in Eatontown, NJ is looking for a Supervisor of Physical Therapy for 32 hours a week.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited program as required by profession,
- Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree as dictated by profession,
- Minimum of five years clinical experience working with pediatric population preferred,
- Previous clinical supervision in the profession preferred,
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams preferred,
- Flexibility both in work hours and performance of duties,
- AHA BLS Provider Certification required,
- NJ State license for either Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy
Scheduling Requirements:
- FT
- 32 hours, weekly
Essential Functions:
- Oversees weekly staff schedules, monitors documentation deficiencies, monitors outpatient flow stats,
- Monitors volumes and reviews with staff and plans accordingly,
- Assists with coordination of outpatient schedules for patients needing multiple services
- Ensures that department follows administrative and clinical policies and procedures,
- Identifies need for improvements and suggests modifications to related policies
- Assuring the organization meets regulations that oversee their practice,
- Handles customer service issues and is responsible to make sure department upholds Service Excellence standards at all interactions,
- Review Employee Engagement survey and performs follow up
- Assists with interview and hiring of new staff,
- Responsible for orienting new staff to dept,
- procedures, provides clinical supervision to staff and aides, ensures staff meet dept,
- expectations,
- Responsible for PI process, 90 day review, and APR process with input from the manager director,
- Assists in developing a process for recruitment and retention of experienced clinicians,
- Evaluates and treats patients according to Best Practice Standards,
- Ensures staff adheres to family centered care philosophy and best practice within clinical evaluations, goal development, treatment and discharge planning through periodic review and monitoring of documentation,
