Schedule : Monday – Friday; 8 : 00pm - 6 : 30am
Pay : $26.00
Background / Drug Requirements : Must be willing to submit to a background check, health and drug screen
Pharmacy Technician
Job Responsibilities :
- Process and fulfill complex specialty medication orders for patients with chronic or rare conditions
- Verify prescription information and check for potential drug interactions or contraindications
- Communicate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to resolve issues related to specialty medications
- Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles in the pharmacy management system
- Assist in managing inventory of specialty medications, including ordering and restocking
- Coordinate prior authorizations and navigate insurance requirements for specialty drugs
- Provide patient education on proper medication use, storage, and potential side effects
- Prepare and package medications for shipment or pickup, ensuring proper handling and temperature control
- Assist in managing patient adherence programs and follow-up calls
- Stay up-to-date on new specialty medications, treatment protocols, and industry regulations
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care
- Participate in quality assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with billing and claims processing for specialty medications
- Support clinical programs and services offered by the specialty pharmacy
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety and regulatory standards
