Job Specifics and Requirements:
Area: Bloomington, IL
Licensure Requirements: Must have open, active, and in good standing IL Pharmacy Technician License
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Experience Needed: 1 - 2 Years of Pharmacy Technician Experience
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Pay: $17.00
Background/ Drug Requirements: Ability to successfully complete background check, health and drug screen
Pharmacy Technician
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
- Process prescriptions and verify information for completeness and accuracy
- Perform data entry of patient and prescription information into pharmacy systems
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies
- Operate pharmacy equipment such as counting machines, computer systems, and cash registers
- Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries professionally
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy workspace
- Assist with insurance claims and billing processes
- Compound medications under pharmacist supervision when required
- Adhere to all pharmacy policies, procedures, and safety protocols
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing and record-keeping
- Collaborate with pharmacy team members to ensure smooth daily operations
- Stay updated on pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices
