Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shipping Supervisor to lead our shipping department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the shipping and receiving processes, ensuring efficient logistics, and maintaining high standards of inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily shipping operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of outgoing shipments.
• Oversee inventory control processes, ensuring accurate stock levels and proper documentation.
• Coordinate logistics for incoming and outgoing shipments, including scheduling and routing.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the warehouse.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to maintain operational standards.
• Handle heavy lifting as necessary, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
  
  

Skills

• Proven experience in shipping management
• Familiarity with logistics and shipping processes.
• Proficient in inventory control methods and practices.
• Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement initiatives.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required by the role.
• Knowledge of shipping/receiving procedures and logistics coordination is essential.
