Applicants for this role will be considered in the following markets: Charlotte, NC and Maimi, FL.
As a Pricing Specialist at RXO, you'll be responsible for monitoring the pricing request queue, obtaining capacity and costs from a variety of sources, crafting customer facing quotes in accordance with the pricing policy, assisting with requests for proposal.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Process pricing requests for ocean, air and road transportation services and related logistics services from sales makers across the company
- Obtain capacity and costs for each element from a variety of sources using various tools and by communicating with providers
- Implement pricing policy to create customer facing quotes
- Work with others on the pricing team, in sales, in operations and in partner organizations to put together a comprehensive response to RFPs
What you'll need to excel:
At a minimum, you'll need:
- An enduring interest in global transportation and logistics and a willingness to learn
- One year of experience in the transportation and logistics industry, specifically ocean and air
- Excellent communication skills, both, verbal and written
- Adept at dealing with large amounts of data that entails advanced excel skills
- Comfortable navigating multiple computer systems concurrently
It'd be great if you also have:
- Exposure to a transportation management system like CargoWise
- Exposure to a rate management system like Catapult
- College credits in International Business
