As a Supervisor, Fleet Maintenance at RXO, you’ll play a key role in a variety of transportation maintenance activities. You’ll be a vital part of helping to manage RXO’s maintenance spend daily through the oversite of repair estimates and invoices. The Supervisor, Fleet Maintenance will work alongside fellow maintenance team members, operations and vendors to strive to meet or exceed expectations.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Act as a liaison for operations, drivers and vendors
- Review and authorize repair estimates and invoices daily
- Monitor daily the maintenance needs for assets to include regular status updates
- Coordinate with repair shops and roadside services to minimize downtime for customer loads and drivers
- Initiate, audit and sustain all tractor and trailer maintenance files in all necessary systems
- Complete the analysis and resolution of vendor performance and compliance issues
- Correctly enter and maintain all maintenance estimates, invoices and images into RXO maintenance software
- Lead the effort with ensuring all repairs are done at the highest quality, at a fair price and done at a reasonable time. This is done by building relationships with the operations as well as with our vendor network.
What you’ll need to excel:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- 2 years of experience in transportation fleet maintenance or a related field
- Experience and understanding of maintenance repair costs for labor and parts
It’d be great if you also have:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- Organized and strong attention to detail
- Strong computer skills and experience in Microsoft Suite with a focus on Excel.
- Ability to think on your feet and provide creative problem solutions
- Experience in TMW, Transman, OT1 and NTTS
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
