**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Polymer Scientist to support the development of silicone-based formulations for adjustable lens technology. The successful candidate will contribute to the advancement of silicone raw material characterization and selection process.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and optimize silicone-based materials for desired processing and performance profiles
- Synthesize silicone-based and silicone-containing monomers and polymers using various polymerization techniques
- Maintain R&D laboratory workspaces and equipment
- Analyze silicone raw materials, intermediate formulation mixes, and final formulations using conventional soft materials characterization techniques
**Requirements:
- Strong laboratory skills and experience with synthetic organic chemistry and/or polymer synthesis
- Background in polymer chemistry/materials science (soft materials) with knowledge of polymeric materials characterization techniques
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to apply creative solutions to challenges
