In this role, you'll help parents overcome challenges through skill-building strategies tailored to their unique needs, culture, and readiness for change. You will implement evidence-based parenting principles, working directly with families in their homes (1-2 times weekly) where we can have the biggest impact. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, and support systems while advocating for their needs.
- Provide in-home, face-to-face interventions, coaching parents through challenges.
- Serve as a contact point for the Child and Family Team, supporting the team process.
- Complete initial and ongoing client assessments.
- Strengthen connections to community resources and coordinate services with other providers.
- Assist clients in securing community services and appointments.
- Complete weekly progress, milestone, and closure reports.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 21 years of age.
- Bachelor's degree in a human services-related field, an Associate's degree in Behavioral Health with no additional experience, or relevant human services-related experience (Note: We have two case manager roles with different education requirements).
- 2 years of teaching/child welfare experience.
- Must obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and vehicle with a clean driving record (no major violations or DUI in the past 5 years).
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug screening, including marijuana.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to relate to families of diverse backgrounds and assess strengths and opportunities for growth.
- Experience in coaching and recognizing signs of abuse/neglect.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with clients, families, and professionals.
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, and computer skills (Google Workspace, Adobe PDF).
