Key Responsibilities
As a Mobile Medical Assistant, you will:
- Travel to assisted living facilities to support providers in delivering compassionate, high-quality care.
- Build trusted relationships with patients, caregivers, and facility staff to enhance patient experiences.
- Assist providers during patient visits by recording medical histories, vital signs, and chief complaints in Athena EMR.
- Prepare patients for exams, assist with procedures, and ensure all necessary equipment is ready and sanitized.
- Perform phlebotomy and collect lab specimens for routine testing.
- Administer medications under provider supervision, apply dressings, and assist with minor procedures.
- Coordinate patient care by scheduling follow-ups, managing referrals, and assisting with chronic disease management.
- Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, medication instructions, and wellness strategies.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA standards while maintaining a safe and organized mobile clinical environment.
- Serve as a key liaison between the medical team, patients, and assisted living staff.
