The Sr. Credit Analyst will be responsible for managing and overseeing the credit, collections and reconciliation processes on a multimillion-dollar portfolio, ensuring adherence to company policies, principles and guidelines. This role will focus on maintaining effective control over the credit function while delivering exceptional service in the areas of credit assessment, collection efforts, financial reconciliation and resolution. The group operates in a dynamic and fast paced environment, requiring a highly detailed-oriented professional with a strong work ethic. How you’ll shape the future of the Credit Team:
- Investigation, preparation and recommendation of credit limits for new and existing customers, adhering to company policy
- Coordination of credit limits within sites to ensure customer limits are not exceeded
- Consistently monitor, review and update existing credit limits to reflect current sales projections and ordering history
- Perform detailed analysis and credit reviews on new and existing customers
- Monitoring of receivables and collection of past due accounts on a multimillion-dollar portfolio
- Improve and maintain internal and external customer communication to build rapport and understand challenges
- Properly notate all account activity to provide transparency and account status
- Manage orders on hold and complete timely resolution and adhere to the department 48-hour release KPI
- Safeguard assets by control and collection of receivables timely to eliminate delinquency
- Preparation of files, documents on bankruptcy, write offs, refunds, offsets and escheatment for customer accounts
- Analyst D&B, Kreller, customer financial statements along with bank and trades to assess credit worthiness for new and existing customers to manage and eliminate risk
- Establish payment plans for customers experiencing financial distress
- Advise, recommend and/or provide pertinent credit information to Sales, Customer Service, Transportation, Accounting and Treasury to facilitate timely communication of issues and concerns
- Manage multiple and conflicting deadlines ensuring all work is completed as expected
- Special projects as required
- Additional duties as assigned
- Bachelors Degree in Business or related field
- Minimum of 5-10 years progressive work experience
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external business contacts
- Strong understanding of financial statements and ratio analysis
- Strong SAP and Microsoft Office 365 knowledge
- Expert Excel knowledge
- Strong understanding of credit ratings with various credit reports
