Key Responsibilities:
Client Acquisition and Retention:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, trade shows, and lead generation efforts.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with clients to ensure long-term satisfaction and loyalty.
Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and implement sales strategies aimed at meeting or exceeding sales targets and new customer activation goals.
- Present and demonstrate our freight brokerage services to potential clients effectively.
Market Research:
- Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and the competitive landscape.
- Use insights to adjust sales strategies and provide valuable feedback to the team.
Negotiation and Closing:
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with clients.
- Close sales deals and ensure all contractual obligations are fulfilled.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with the sales team and operations team to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status.
- Provide regular updates and sales forecasts to management.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Sales Account Executive, Sales Representative, or a similar role (preferably in the logistics or freight brokerage industry, but not required).
- Strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to travel as needed to attend trade shows and client meetings.
- Ability to articulate motivations and drive effectively.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field (preferred).
- Knowledge of the logistics and freight brokerage industry is a plus.
