We are a family owned and operated Heavy Civil / Sitework Contractor that specializes in Earthwork, Underground Utilities work, Heavy Highway construction, Paving, Land Development and Infrastructure Civil Engineering projects. Ryan Inc. has been in business since 1884. We have three offices in South Florida located in Stuart, Deerfield Beach and Miami.
The Construction Equipment Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement, inventory management, and sales of equipment parts within an organization. This role ensures that parts are available for maintenance, repairs, and customer sales while optimizing stock levels, supplier relationships, and cost efficiency. The Equipment Parts Manager works closely with service technicians, vendors, and customers to ensure smooth operations.
Responsibilities:
- Procurement & Vendor Relations: Source and negotiate with suppliers for quality parts at competitive prices while building strong vendor relationships.
- Manage purchase orders, sales orders, cores, and returns while ensuring accurate records.
- Work closely with technicians to ensure they have the necessary parts for maintenance and repair jobs.
- Stay informed of industry trends, competitor pricing, and new product offerings.
- Supervise and train parts runner and warehouse staff, fostering a productive knowledgeable team.
- Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Reporting to Equipment Manager, Mechanics, and Dispatcher ETA on parts.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent (College degree is a plus).
- Experience with construction equipment specs and nomenclature.
- At least 1 year of experience using accounting software (SAP, Viewpoint, Oracle).
- Experience in parts management, procurement, or inventory control (preferably in construction, automotive, heavy equipment, or industrial sectors).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills
