At Ryan Lawn & Tree we are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Team Member in Landscape Plant Maintenance to join our expanding team. This role will focus on assisting in maintaining plants and landscape beds on a variety of residential and commercial properties. We’re looking for detail-oriented individuals passionate about plants and outdoor work to join our landscape maintenance team. We emphasize attention to detail, creativity and team collaboration. - Maintaining beautiful landscapes as trained and directed: Perform a range of landscape maintenance tasks, including pruning, weeding, cutbacks and cleanup[s on a regular schedule and on-call as needed.
- Planting and Installation: Install plants as requested and maintain planters to ensure vibrant and healthy displays.
- General Maintenance: Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall upkeep of client properties.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively as a team member, while also demonstrating the ability to work efficiently independently.
- Client Communication: May interact with clients on a daily basis, communicating the process and expectations of services needed and services performed, along with recommendations for other Ryan services needed on their property.
- Continuing Education: Participate in team meetings and continuing education, both on-the-job and in the classroom, to enhance your knowledge of all aspects of Ryan provided services. The goal is to service the client at a higher level with each year of employment.
- Labor Transfer: Assist with work as needed in other departments, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn.
- Day Preparation: Ensure equipment is properly prepared at the beginning and end of each day.
- Driving: Safely drive company vehicles to and from job sites.
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, team members, and suppliers.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as required to meet client needs and project timelines.
- Proficiency in the use of horticultural tools, equipment, and technology.
- Ability to obtain DOT medical certification
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Ability to push/pull objects while walking up to 3 miles a day
- Possesses a general knowledge of landscape maintenance practices.
- Basic understanding of the services RLT provides.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work efficiently independently.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to take pride in the end results of their work.
