Our company is rapidly growing and we are expanding and seeking an experienced and motivated Landscape Crew Leader to oversee and manage landscaping projects throughout Springfield. If you love working outside, this role will involve leading a crew to build and install beautiful landscapes and hardscapes for our clients. Springfield is known as the “Birthplace of Route 66” offering a blend of historical charm and modern amenities, making it an ideal place to live and work. Our landscape professionals are individuals trained in the art and science of creating and building outdoor living spaces.
What you’ll do:
- Responsible for leading a crew of 2-4 members
- Manage landscape projects ranging in scale from planting trees, shrubs, and perennials to hardscaping projects and drainage on our client properties.
- Must be able to work well in a team environment as well as efficiently on your own while taking care of client properties and taking pride in the end results of their work.
- Interact with clients on a daily basis communicating the process and expectations of services needed and services performed along with recommendations for other Ryan services needed on their property.
- Possess a thorough knowledge of Design/Build practices as well as other RYAN services.
- Coach team members to develop skills, work efficiently and gain landscape knowledge
- Ensure all team members have the tools, resources and required training to accurately meet the service demands of our customer
Requirements
- 4 years of landscape crew lead experience
- General knowledge of equipment maintenance
- Ability to safely operate equipment such as trenchers and vibratory plow
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to obtain DOT medical certification
- Ability to lift 75 lbs.
- Ability to push/pull objects while walking up to 3 miles a day
- Includes a company truck
