Junior Underwriter
Join our underwriting team and support the evaluation of applications in accordance with established guidelines and policies. Under the guidance of a Senior Underwriter, youll assess applications for financial viability and business integrity, providing recommendations that align risk tolerance with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform detailed reviews of applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness of submitted materials.
- Verify documents using approved tools and resources to validate applicant information.
- Analyze financial data, including credit reports, balance sheets, tax returns, and other supporting documentation.
- Prepare comprehensive summaries and recommendations based on evaluation criteria.
- Apply underwriting policies to mitigate financial exposure and maintain compliance with credit standards.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve issues efficiently using available tools and resources.
- Ensure all required information is present and accurate for applications, including paperwork and online presence.
- Collaborate with Risk Management to review applications and determine account outcomes.
- Contribute to team reporting efforts by assisting with the preparation of weekly and monthly summaries.
- Support quality assurance efforts by auditing completed files as needed.
- Take on additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned.
