Position Summary
The position is part of our Ryan Financial Lines group, specifically situated within the International Facultative Reinsurance Team as part of the Latam & Caribbean team.
The ideal candidate will be fluent in Spanish and be able to perform a variety of tasks including Operations, Underwriting and Administrative assistance.
They will exhibit prior experience with data management, financial reconciliations, insurance / reinsurance, and / or claims management.
The individual will have the opportunity to collaborate with both external markets as Reinsurance brokers, adjusters and Carriers and internal business units such as Claims, Underwriting, and Finance Department.
What will your job entail?
Performs a combination of duties in accordance with the Departmental guidelines :
Operations
- Completes analysis of Reinsurance Slips and Endorsements for signature while interfacing with Underwriting, Reinsurance Brokers or Carriers.
- Process financial data and reconcile premium payments with premium invoices, monitor and correct discrepancies as they arise.
- Monitors aging of outstanding reinsurance balances. Partners on corrective actions needed with peers to ensure payment is made / received in accordance with contract guidelines and departmental metrics.
Manage Notices of Cancellation.
- Process and ensure accuracy of Monthly Production Bordereaux reporting to Carriers.
- Manages requests of Renewal submissions for in force portfolio and follow-up with brokers to receive information on time.
- Perform initial check on submissions received and enter submissions in the Information Management System.
- Process weekly Management reports as requested.
General
- Makes recommendations for process improvements considering all aspects of the job along with internal guidelines, compliance and industry standards.
- Analyzes data, prepares and presents reports to management.
- Completes appropriate compliance functions to ensure the ethical and financial integrity of transactions. Participates in audits and assists in providing documents and explanation as necessary.
May perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Knowledge of insurance and claims principles practices and procedures.
- Fluent in Spanish
- Reinsurance technical / operations experience.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to effectively interact with all levels of Ryan Financial Lines' internal and external business partners.
- Ability to work independently. Self-directed showing personal accountability and sense of urgency.
- Good analytical and problems solving skills.
- Ability to effectively resolve reinsurance operational issues and able to manage competing demands.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite as well as other business-related software.
Education & Experience
- College degree - BS preferred or equivalent experience.
- Typically a minimum of one to two years of claims, or reinsurance experience.
- Applicable professional designations, or related coursework desirable.

The target hourly rate range for this position is $28.00 - $36.00 per hour.
The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands.
The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
