People
- Assists Manager in developing TIF project workplans and scheduling associated project deliverables.
- Assists Manager in the research, interpretation, and application of TIF statutes and regulations from different jurisdictions.
- Create a positive team member experience.
- Responds to client inquiries and requests from multiple jurisdictions including state and local agencies.
- Travels to client locations when necessary to gather relevant data from client and processes the information.
- Travels to jurisdictional meetings including federal, state & local agencies for/with the client.
- Research TIF programs for client eligibility and individual jurisdictional requirements for the creation of TIF districts. The creation of TIF districts includes the understanding of statutes, rules and regulations, and any proposed legislation that could impact the TIF district.
- Proficient in the research, interpretation, and application of TIF statutes and regulations from different jurisdictions.
- Skilled and able to guide in the extraction and interpretation of information for use in economic modeling for TIF Districts.
- Development of economic, tax and fiscal economic impact studies or finance plans to support TIF District creation.
- Proficient at drafting reports and support documentation for creation of TIF districts.
- Negotiate incentives with state and local agencies.
- Other projects or duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Public Administration, Urban Planning, or a closely related field.
- Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible professional experience in economic development, urban planning, or a closely related field relevant to TIF Development Planning.
- Desire to perform in a high-energy team environment.
- Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels.
