RYDE, is seeking dedicated and responsible individuals to join our team as a RYDE Electric Shuttle Driver. As a driver, you will play a crucial role in providing a free, city-funded, on-demand electric shuttle service in the local community of Third Ward and Second Ward Houston.

Responsibilities:
- Safely operate RYDE electric shuttles and transport passengers within designated routes in Second and Third Ward using our on-demand app.
- Provide excellent customer service to passengers, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the shuttle, adhering to maintenance and safety protocols.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while operating the shuttle.
- Collaborate with fellow drivers to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Assist passengers, including those with disabilities or special needs, in boarding and disembarking the shuttle.
SECOND/ THIRD WARD:
- Service Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm
- Shift Hours: Mon - Fri: 7:30am - 4:30pm - 1 Hour Off The Clock Lunch Break.
DOWNTOWN:
- Service Hours: Monday - Friday, 7am - 7pm
- Shift Hours:
Monday - Friday
- 6:30am shift start to mid afternoon
- Mid afternoon - 7:30pm end time.
- Part Time and Full Time Available.
Requirements:
- Between the age of 23 and 45 years old (Insurance Requirement)
- MUST BE PUNCTUAL AND DEPENDABLE. (We do not tolerate tardiness and call ins)
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- City of Houston Chauffeur's Permit or Willingness to Obtain One.
- Previous experience in driving passenger vehicles (e.g., taxis, shuttles, rideshare services) is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with the communities we service and its transportation needs is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS AND KINDNESS ARE A MUST
