Job Summary
Ryder is seeking a qualified SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver to deliver freight to Oregon, Washington, and the northern tip of California. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of safe driving and excellent customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities :
Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
Maintain accurate records and logs.
Load / unload freight or assist in the loading / unloading of freight as required by customers.
Requirements :
21 years of age or older.
Pass a Ryder drug test.
Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
Pass a DOT physical.
Pass a Ryder road test.
Provide a valid Class A CDL and endorsements for the position.
Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle : 9 months experience within the past 3 years, or 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, or 5 years' experience within the last 10 years.
