Job Summary

The Corporate Director of Human Resources will lead the overall HR strategy for a multi-location skilled nursing facility (SNF) chain. This role is responsible for talent acquisition and retention, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, training, and organizational development. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and industry-specific regulations, with a strong background in healthcare, particularly in skilled nursing facilities.

Key Responsibilities :

Talent Acquisition & Retention :

  • Develop and execute comprehensive talent acquisition strategies to attract top healthcare professionals, including RNs, CNAs, therapists, and administrative staff.Implement innovative recruitment and retention programs to reduce turnover and enhance employee engagement.
  • Partner with leadership to establish a strong employer brand and foster a culture of excellence.
  • Oversee workforce planning, succession planning, and career development initiatives.

HR Operations & Compliance :

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, including FMLA, FLSA, ADA, and HIPAA.
  • Develop and enforce company policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.
  • Manage employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolutions to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to proactively update HR policies and procedures.
  • Payroll Administration :

    Oversee the payroll process to ensure accurate and timely payment of employees across multiple locations.

  • Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Partner with finance and payroll teams to resolve discrepancies and optimize payroll operations.
  • Implement payroll best practices and ensure preoper record keeping and reporting.
  • Support Payroll-Based Journal (PBJ) reporting quarterly to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
  • Benefits & Compensation Administration :

  • O versee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
  • Work with brokers and vendors to ensure competitive and cost-effective benefit offerings.
  • Evaluate and recommend compensation structures to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity.
  • Training & Development :

  • Implement leadership development programs to enhance management capabilities.
  • Oversee onboarding, compliance training, and continuing education programs.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth across all locations.
  • Culture & Employee Engagement :

  • Lead initiatives to enhance workplace culture and employee satisfaction.
  • Design and implement employee recognition and engagement programs.
  • Conduct regular surveys and feedback sessions to assess and improve the employee experience.
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role highly preferred.
  • Healthcare industry experience required, with a strong preference for candidates with skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and healthcare-specific HR regulations.
  • Proven track record in talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, and organizational development.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with ADP highly preferred.
  • HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred.
  • Other Requirements :

  • Ability to travel to SNF locations as needed.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
