Rye Country Day School is seeking an Athletic Director beginning July 01, 2025. Reporting to the Assistant Head of School and working closely with the senior administration, the next Athletic Director at Rye Country Day will be the visionary leader of the Athletics program. The Athletic Director will oversee a robust Athletics program, one that competes in multiple athletic leagues in NY, CT, and the rest of New England, including a large group of both internal and external coaches. The Athletic Director will set forth a clear vision for the future of the Athletics program, which will include a significant addition to the Athletics facilities on newly purchased land.

Specific responsibilities of this position include :
- Management of a large Athletics department, including an Associate AD, Assistant AD, Athletic trainers, and coaches;
- Hiring, training, development, and evaluation of all athletic team coaches, both internal and external;
- Oversight and continued management of the on-site facilities at Rye Country Day, including the hockey rink, gyms, turf fields, squash courts, and fitness room;
- In collaboration with the Athletic Task Force, creation of a new vision for the Athletics program at Rye Country Day, which will also include development, planning, and construction of added athletic facilities;
- Refine scheduling and maintain continued focus on and optimization of internal processes;
- Navigation of an Athletics program that competes in multiple leagues, including leagues in New York, Connecticut, and the rest of New England;
- Collaboration with the Admissions and College Counseling departments at the school;
- Continued curation of relationships in the community, including with managers of off-site facilities.
