Ryerson is seeking a General Manager to lead and oversee the management and strategy of our Operations and Sales functions at our Houston service center. As General Manager, you are responsible for day-to-day management and operational responsibility for the facility which includes sales, production, warehouse employees, production supervisors, quality, shipping and logistics, maintenance, and administrative office staff.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all commercial and operational activities within the service center
- Drive strong safety culture in conformance with company and industry standards
- Drive the team to meet service and quality goals
- Establish sales, profit, and operational goals to achieve EBITDA targets
- Develop strategic and tactical plans to grow and support the service center product offering
- Train, coach and develop team members
- Build credibility and trust while providing an excellent customer experience
- Understand the financial basics of the business as they relate to the profitability of the company
