As a Part Handler at Norlen, a Ryerson family of companies, you will be responsible for preparing parts for paint which includes hanging and removing parts from the paint line.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Is knowledgeable of the function and capability of equipment and systems necessary for an automated powder paint line
- Understands and performs assembly, hanging, unhanging and shipping procedures
- Understands the quality requirements and notifies the supervisor or corrects all situations that may result in a nonconforming part
- Observes paint line operation to detect defects or machine malfunction
- Keeps work area clean and organized
- Reads and understands job order or product specifications
- Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice
Requirements
- Successfully pass a skills-based assessment - evaluates your reading, math, inspections & measurement, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
Has a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Successful candidates will be enrolled in a registered apprenticeship program as part of their onboarding
