As a QA Coordinator at Ryerson, you will be responsible for auditing incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Audit first piece article inspection production and perform PPAP measurements by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to the production supervisor
- Audit raw, WIP, stock, and finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work
- Document both internal and customer specifications and expectations
- Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications
- All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
- 3 - 5 years experience in a quality support role
- AS400 experience a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications – (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Working knowledge and experience with ISO requirements a plus
