As a Transportation Admin, you will be responsible for ensuring positive and effective communication with drivers, customers, and internal staff. They must also maintain an efficient flow of paperwork and information between office and warehouse staff along with ensuring a smooth handoff between shifts.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Checks in trucks at S&R window being mindful of appointment times and work area assignments
- Review shipment paperwork for accuracy and completeness
- Data entry into SAP
- Demonstrate a high-level of Customer service internally and externally
- Answer phone calls and emails to properly schedules incoming trucks
- Scans BOL’s along with completing shipment paperwork
- Collaborate with procurement staff via email to list expected deliveries
- Contact the appropriate departments to resolve any issues
- Ability to perform in a team environment across work areas with a positive and unified communication message
- Allocate trucks to the appropriate work centers for shipments and deliveries
- All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous SAP experience a plus
- Previous transportation experience is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent organization and administrative skills
- Exemplary customer care skills and meticulous attention to detail
