Job Summary

As a Sustaining Engineering Manager, you will lead and oversee Engineering/Design Product and Process improvement initiatives. This position will be responsible for investigating the largest opportunities related to product design, defining and achieving alignment on product design changes to capture those opportunities by consulting with Product/Process SMEs and other key company stakeholders, planning product revision strategy, supporting design resources through change execution. Additionally, you will collaborate with Design, Operations, and Field installation and service stakeholders on Design release and revision with the aim of increasing process efficiency. You will also coordinate with key enterprise functions to ensure ERP product data quality and structure meets functional requirements.

Job Duties

• Leadership of personnel under your management in accordance with NCS
• Establish appropriate productivity metrics to motivate teams in alignment with organizations objectives.
• Manage completion of duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established policies to achieve the objectives.
• Perform all necessary supervisory functions to effectively and efficiently manage the personnel assigned.
• Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas of production. Work to continuously improve in all areas.
• Foster a cooperative and harmonious working climate conductive to maximize employee morale and productivity.
• Stay current with new technologies and trends in the engineering/carwash/vacuum industry.
• Secure tools, equipment, and employees to effectively meet Sustaining Engineering objectives.
• Review ongoing performance results to targets. Takes corrective measures, with authorization, and escalate as needed.
• Communicate areas of accountability and performance expected of personnel assigned.
• Determine standards of performance as a basis to review progress of personnel assigned.
• Recommend salary adjustments, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
• Ensure proper training of personnel assigned.
• Develop individuals for future advancement.
• Comply with all applicable OSHA, EPA, local regulatory laws, and company safety policies.
• Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of this position at any time.
  
  

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to speak, write, read, and comprehend procedures in English.
• Ability to work assigned hours needed to effectively manage the team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a technical field from an accredited college.
• 3 Years of relevant work experience (preferably in a manufacturing setting)
