What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time - Usher - Ryman Auditorium position at Ryman Hospitality Properties?
Deliver exceptional service to guests attending events and functions in entertainment and concert venues. Follow standard operating procedures to verify tickets, assist guests with seating location, distribute approved handouts, assist with video / photography and crowd control, respond to guest questions, and provide a clean facility during and after events.
Availability Needed :
Seeking candidates who can commit to 3 shifts per week
Minimum 2 Saturdays per month
Please note that we operate 7 days a week
Responsibilities :
- Verify ticket information, ensuring each ticket is for the correct event. Tear or scan tickets or verify proper credentials required for entry. Do not allow access to those who do not have proper credentials or tickets.
- Communicate with guests outside before they pass through magnetometers, provide them information on what items are not allowed and instructions on how to pass through the magnetometers.
- Provide general seating directions at the entrance points of venue. Confirm seating information after entry and provide seating assistance to guests with accurate directions or personal assistance.
- Distribute approved handouts, including show programs, as required per event.
- Assist with crowd control during events at the stage and in the general seating areas and aisleways.
- Monitor assigned areas and address issues with guests who are being disruptive, seated in incorrect locations, and recording through video / photography without authorization, etc. Approach guests and inform of required corrective action. Contact leadership if situation escalates.
- Assist with the overall cleanliness of the entire facility, including but not limited to cleaning floor-level windows, picking up trash before, during and after shows, and maintaining restrooms.
- Respond to guest complaints or problems, taking corrective action as required to resolve. Contact leadership with issues outside of area of responsibility.
- Report any concerns or maintenance items to department and venue leadership.
- May be trained to perform post-show tours and / or act as a shift / floor lead.
- Must be familiar with emergency evacuation procedures, assist in quickly moving guests and employees to designated locations, and direct security and paramedics as required for guests in need.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience
Previous Customer Service experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent Customer Service skills required.
