Plant 6 Machining Maint Supervisor - Split Shift (7:00pm to 3:30am)
Job Summary:
Supervises machine plant personnel (split shift 2nd to 3rd) so as to maximize product quality and quantity with available personnel, material and equipment in the safest and most efficient manner.
Job Duties:
- Directs the activities of, coaches, and provides support to all personnel assigned to the operations of the machining plant. Assures that people are using safe work methods.
- Prepares and conducts employee performance evaluations. Recognizes employees for their positive contributions to the successful operations of the department. Performs employee counseling and corrective actions. Participates in dismissals or suspensions
when needed. Coaches employees on improving performance, behavior, and teamwork.
- Executes production plans in accordance with customer delivery requirements.
- Ensures that all machinery operates efficiently and is being repaired when needed
- Provides training to machine plant department personnel.
- Communicates and coordinates with all departments to resolve problems that arise and to improve efficiencies and reduce waste.
- Reviews daily production reports so as to identify problem areas and initiates corrective action. Follows up on these to assure that the problem does not recur.
- Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Conducts weekly departmental meetings.
- Communicates to upper management when special support is needed.
- Help audit and maintain ISO/TS 16949 system.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred up to:
- 8 years experience in field
- AS 6 years exp
- BS 4 years exp
- MA/MS 2 years exp
