Job Summary: As RYSE’s Assistant Buyer, you will have the opportunity to support RYSE’s operations through skillful selection and procurement of materials, products, packaging, and other goods crucial for sustaining optimal inventory levels.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute POs ensuring all materials are purchased on time, to specification, and accurately priced
- Track and monitor order(s) status to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Nurture and improve relationships with vendors, suppliers, forwarders, and other operational partners to maintain good standing
- Facilitate supplier/vendor communications with internal teams (Operations, Sales, Finance, etc)
- Collaborate with senior buyers and Leadership in developing purchasing strategies to meet company objectives
- Participate in vendor meetings and product evaluations
Education and Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in an assistant buyer, purchasing agent, or a related role
- High school diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED)
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, etc.
- Experience with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
- Strong communication skills (written, oral)
- Able to work independently with a self-starting approach while also contributing effectively to a team environment
- Able to work at a desk/on a computer for up to 8 hours a day
Standout Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Experience purchasing in the food & beverage, CPG, or beverage manufacturing industries
- Personally health passionate
