What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Custodian position at Ryther?
Maintenance & Groundskeeping
Job duties include:
- Assisting in all aspects of the maintenance and repair of agency facilities and equipment. Examples: painting, wall patching, minor carpentry projects, small appliance repairs, limited custodial jobs, assist with office moves, etc.
- Identify repair needs and problem-solve solutions.
- Landscaping/gardening/grounds maintenance.
- Assist with volunteer work events.
Our ideal candidate has:
- 1 years of landscaping/gardening experience
- 1 years of experience with maintenance and repair of facilities.
- A good driving record & valid DL.
- Ability to maintain client confidentiality.
- Excellent time management skills.
- A positive attitude and a drive to make a difference.

We currently have an opening for a Maintenance Custodian to contribute to our therapeutic milieu through attention and care to the physical environment. You will be part of a team responsible for the care and maintenance of our 8-building campus. This is a great position for a general handy person who likes variety in their day. We are looking for someone who can put an emphasis on landscaping/gardening/grounds work, but who can also chip in with repairs and other maintenance tasks as needed.
