Responsibilities
- Greet and seat customers in a friendly manner, providing menus and taking drink orders promptly.
- Take food orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen staff, ensuring all special requests are communicated effectively.
- Serve food and drinks to tables, checking in with guests to ensure satisfaction throughout their meal.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, including daily specials and pairings.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service while maintaining high-quality standards.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or as a Server is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and retail math is beneficial.
- Skills in time management and multitasking are essential for success in this role.
- Experience in a café or culinary environment is a plus but not mandatory.
