S&A Legal Management Services, Inc., is a well-established multi-state legal recoveries law firm seeking a Legal Document Processor to support our Rochester, NY office.
Since our inception in May 2000, we've evolved into a significant player in debt recovery litigation, providing comprehensive solutions for major banks and creditors with continued growth experienced and planned.
Position Summary
Support the legal operations process by managing document receipt, distribution, processing, preparation, and shipping.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Processing all incoming legal documents with urgency
- Prepare documents for delivery to clients or internal staff ensuring all requisite attachments are present
- Sorting, packaging, and mailing legal documents
- Recording information in the Firm’s case management system
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Ability to work efficiently with excellent attention to detail in a high-volume fast paced environment
- Minimum of two years' general office experience, high volume data entry or document processing preferred
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Ability to operate basic office equipment such as a copy machine, fax machine, printer, scanner, and computer
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
- Ability to be flexible to adapt and act quickly when urgent matters require it
- Ability to work and maintain patience with diversified individuals of various ethnic backgrounds and professional competencies
