We are seeking a CNC Machinist - Drill Press - Lathe to become an integral part of our team!
The ideal candidate arrives for work on time and is receptive to learning. He/ she takes pride in their work and values being productive and efficient.
As a team member, you will always know where you stand and if standards are met, can be here as long as you desire. We have team members with 40 years tenure as well as multigeneration.
Responsibilities:
- Follow processes as defined in procedures manual.
- Machine material to within tolerances specified.
- Inspect parts and materials prior to machining.
- Perform physical inventory as directed.
- Inform supervisor of project/work status and any issues encountered.
- Keep work area neat, clean, and well organized to promote safety and efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Able to multitask in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
- Complete required paperwork and checklists.
- Observe all safety rules including wearing PPE as required.
- Clean and perform preventative maintenance on machine and general shop equipment.
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate good judgment and decision making.

Requirements
- Able to identify different materials, finishes and grades.
- Able to set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation of tools in order to perform precision machining operations.
- Able to use sample parts, blueprints, drawings, and engineering information in order to determine product dimensions and tolerances.
- Perform methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products, and determine product dimensions and tolerances.
- Able to read prints and interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
- Proficient at using inspection equipment such as tape measures, calipers and micrometers.
- Able to design fixtures, tooling, to meet special production needs.
- Able to identify defects and nonconformance.
- Able to follow directions and work well without direct supervision.
- Able to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment safely.
