Under limited supervision, the GIS Manager will perform the independent analysis, design, implementation, modification and upgrade of agency applications for geographic information systems and spatial data for the agency. To include statistical analysis, processing, automation of spatial data and advanced cartographic products. Emphasis will be placed on supporting Health related Deputy areas.
A bachelor's degree in geography or a related field and work experience in the development and maintenance of geographic information systems; or an associate degree in geography or a related field and expert-level work experience in the development and maintenance of geographic information systems.
One (1) year of relevant experience. Portfolio of work demonstrating competency in the maintenance and development of GIS web applications.

- Design, develop, implement, maintain and provide technical support for geographic information systems and user applications as assigned to support health related program areas and activities. Provide technical back-up for other applications as assigned. Adheres to Information Technology application development standards.
- Perform statistical analysis of spatial data to include data processing, automation, and data quality to ensure data credibility. Develop, maintain, and monitor spatial data services. Provide technical backup to other spatial data sets as assigned. Design advanced cartographic products to meet customer requirements.
- Act as technical consultant to customers and work with other technology staff to ensure applications adhere to Information Technology application development standards. Assist with problem resolution.
- Prepare and maintain system documentation for applications supported. Provide appropriate administrative documentation/project communication.
- Other duties as assigned.
