This position is located in the Bureau of Hospital, Community Services, and Emergency Management.
Under the supervision of the section director and is responsible for monitoring reports of visit and plans of corrections, conducting inspections/investigations/surveys and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing assistance.
Reviews and manages all documentation related to licensing of assigned facilities to include pending license application files for new facilities, change of ownership, bed increase/decrease, closure etc. as needed. Submits completed application packets to the licensing administrative staff. Assists with the review of emergency evacuation plans as needed. Assists with the review of Report of Visits (ROVs) and Plan of Corrections (POCs) for accuracy/completeness and ensures the correction of errors/concerns. Required to follow up on facilities that do not submit POCs in a timely manner. Assists with maintaining ROV/POC logs/schedules and conducts meetings as needed.
Serves as a resource contact for the public, providers, and inspectors. Provides technical assistance to the customer as needed. Assists the section as needed in conducting inspections/investigations and assists training new employees. Briefs the Section Director and Field Manager on licensing issues as needed. Provides written reports to the Section Director as requested. Attends meetings and serves on committees as necessary to make recommendations to management related licensing issues. Performs other duties as necessary, such as but not limited to: prepares for and presents evidence in hearings/trials; participates in disaster preparedness and response, and is designated as an essential employee, subject to duty and/or on call on a 24-hour basis during an emergency.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
A high school diploma and relevant program experience.
Able to accommodate round trip for up to four hours and distances of up to 400 miles and require occasional oversight stay. Must be able to lift and carry up to 200 pounds to a pounds to a distance and/or height of up to 20 feet. Must be able to bend, stoop, and climb as part of the inspection process if needed.
