• 5:00 am- 4:30 pm (Monday- Friday)
• Overtime on Saturdays

Are you passionate about finishing? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to coordinate our finishing function. As a finisher, you'll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team. The Finishing System is a process designed to pre-treat metal (i.e., powder coat and liquid paint) to protect it from the environment. You will work in a production environment, engage in continuous productive activity and must meet requirements within predetermined time constraints. Tasks require the use of both hands and arms on a repetitive basis for a full range of motion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspection of plated parts both visual and manually using a thickness tester.
• Using computer keyboard for data entry.

What you'll Need To Succeed:

• A working knowledge of shop math and elementary algebra.
• Ability to understand blueprints and to follow verbal and written instructions and procedures.
• Ability to understand various metal alloys and the processes to clean and electroplate material surfaces.
• Basic knowledge of computer keyboard to enter data.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a group, in an organized and team-oriented manner

Physical demands:

• Standing: All tasks are performed in a standing position with intermittent walking.
• Lifting: Frequent lifting of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs.
• Walking: Occasional walking moderate distances (less than 1/8 mile).
• Carrying: Frequent carrying of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 25 lbs.
• Pushing: Occasional pushing of motorized material handling carts with loaded weights up to 1000 lbs.
• Pulling: Occasional pulling of motorized material handling carts with loaded weights up to 1000 lbs.
• Bending: Frequent bending and crouching to safely lift parts of various sizes and shapes.
• Reaching: Continuous full range of motion from above the shoulders to below the knees.
• Handling: Continuous handling of parts ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs.
• Other: Respirator certification required.
