Join Our Team as a Material Handler!
The Material Handler - Basic is responsible for transporting materials from supply stores to drop-off locations using a tugger. Trigger cards and internal applications are used to notify the Material Handler that additional stock is needed. This position completes forklift training requirements needed in order to advance to the intermediate level.
Key Responsibilities :
- Use a tugger to deliver materials to dedicated drop-off locations within the manufacturing facility.
- Utilize trigger cards and internal applications to identify where new materials are needed, ensuring accuracy in quantities and proper procedures are followed.
- Complete S&C Forlift certification program, including any required testing and certification hours need to pass the program.
- Review job orders and part drawings to accurately determine which parts and materials are needed for specific jobs and areas.
- Utilize Oracle ERP to determine part quantities, locations, and receiving history.
- Meet department targets and consistently adhere to quality and safety standards.
- Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules.
- Work with departmental mentors to gain and apply feedback in pursuit of improved work quality.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
