Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. Our practice is not a volume run office, our paste is slow and we focus on quality. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic while providing exceptional patient care. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with dentists to support various dental procedures and maintain a welcoming environment for patients.
New graduates are welcome; training will be provider.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and sterile.
- Take and develop dental X-rays, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software, ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
- Manage appointment scheduling, including confirming appointments and following up with patients as needed.
- Ensure the dental clinic is clean, organized, and compliant with aseptic techniques.
- Support endodontic procedures by preparing materials and assisting the dentist during treatments.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively for communication with patients and staff.
Skills
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile working environment.
- Experience in medical imaging, particularly in taking X-rays.
- Familiarity with endodontics and related procedures is preferred.
- Solid grasp of medical terminology relevant to dental practices.
- Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is advantageous.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
