Quality Support Specialist

JOB DUTIES

• Verifies outgoing production and shipping inspection data meets customer and internal specification criteria.
• Routinely reviews outgoing data trends.
• Creates and maintains electronic data files and macros. Completes and maintains logs and archives.  
• Recognizes SPC abnormalities and initiates investigations for root cause.
• Performs multiple tasks in the 300mm MES system, including QA Approval.
• Compiles and reviews all necessary components from various departments for New Product Specification Registration.
• Reviews Rework Judgment Criteria for new Specifications and implements into MES.
• Verifies that Certificate of Compliance data is within customer specification and ensures data is accurately sent to customer.
• Exercises tact and judgment in interpersonal interactions.
• Communicates effectively with multiple departments and individuals within and outside the company, including:
  1. Ongoing communication with Shipping Department regarding release of shipments and Shipping Inspection lab and production for sample results.
  2. Constant communication with Order Management, Shipping Inspection, all 300mm Production areas, Shipping, Spec Writing and IS Departments.
  3. Frequent emails to customer with CofC data.
  4. Email communication with personnel in Japan.
• Understands and adheres to written documentation, customer specifications and corporate procedures.  
• Documents changes to Rework Judgment Criteria.  

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Knowledge of company manufacturing processes, production capacities, product parameters and quality systems.  
• Ability to handle increasingly complex issues over time and acquire knowledge of specific customer and internal needs.
• Strong computer skills using Excel, including creating Macros, with high degree of accuracy.
• Must possess solid problem-solving skills and the ability to work quickly and productively on multiple tasks under pressure.
• SPC knowledge understanding control limits and trending rules.
• Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
• Ability to recognizes the need to quickly shift priorities and adapt work schedule accordingly.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS 

• Knowledge of 300mm MES system strongly preferred.
• Semiconductor or related experience
