Assistant Project Manager (APM)
Job Description
Join one of New England’s most established and reputable Subcontractors with 60 years in the construction industry. We are seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support our team in executing successful construction projects. The APM will work closely with the Project Manager to oversee various aspects of project execution, with a strong focus on document control, field coordination, change order management, and reporting. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in concrete construction and build a strong foundation in project management.
Key Responsibilities
· Document Control – Maintain and update project design documents, ensuring all revisions (Bulletins, CCDs) are properly recorded and distributed.
· RFI Management – Create and track Requests for Information (RFIs), ensuring timely distribution to field teams, engineers, and project managers.
· Change Management – Assist in tracking and pricing design changes, ensuring all modifications are accurately documented.
· Submittal Process – Manage and submit project submittals, working directly with suppliers to secure approvals before material releases.
· Field Support – Assist field superintendents with logs, ensuring additional work is properly documented.
· T&M Tracking – Monitor, price, and submit Time & Material (T&M) work completed in the field.
· Change Order Documentation – Track and document all change order requests across various projects.
Qualifications
· 0 - 2 years of experience (Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply!)
· Education is not required, but a background in construction management, engineering, or a related field is a plus.
· Ability to communicate with subcontractors and other project team members
· Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment
· Ability to multitask
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Compensation & Work Schedule
- Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year
- Hours: 40 hours per week
