What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tooling Clerk position at S & H Machine Inc?
Hourly Rate: $18.00 - $25.00 per Hour
Summary
The Tooling Clerk will assist with the general upkeep, organization, improvement, and operation of the Tool Crib.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list and that additional tasks may be assigned to the employee and the scope of the job may change as necessitated by business demands.
- Maintain Tool Sheet database for each production job by part number
- Maintain photographic database of all production set-ups by part number
- Organize and maintain the Tool Crib – restock all used tools daily
- Order and replenish all soft tooling (disposables) as needed
- Order & replenish facility supplies (perishable goods)
- Assist with Pre-Kitting of required tooling in the appropriate holder for each production job in accordance with established production methods
- Manage S&H and Custom Tooling such as fixtures and arbors
- Track & Monitor tooling performance – Report damaged or worn out tools to supervisor
- Maintain records of tools issued to and returned by shop personnel and vendors
- Maintain the organization of Catalogs and Reference Materials in the Tool Crib

Experience and Education:
Years of Experience: 1 years of experience
High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.) and one to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. |
