What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Specialist position at S.J. Amoroso Construction?
Under the direction of the Marketing Manager, the exempt Marketing Specialist will be responsible for the duties summarized below. We are seeking an individual who understands the urgency of getting the job done and done correctly. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, well organized, a self-starter, and who has a collaborative, can-do attitude. An understanding of basic marketing principles is required.
Essential Job Functions
- Assist in the development and submission of prequalification packages, statements of qualifications, technical proposals, presentations, resumes, project descriptions, and other deliverables to public works and private clients.
- Participate in the proposal process from inception to submission, including go/no-go analysis; kickoff meetings; scheduling; generating accurate RFQ/P compliance outlines; content coordination with internal and partner team members pink, red, and gold team reviews; win themes and differentiators; and timely submission of deliverables.
- Interface with team members and partners to procure, coordinate, and manage technical, project, personnel, and other data.
- Coordinate, organize, and accurately enter procured data into CRM and database.
- Create and assist in planning engaging content for website, social media, and other external marketing
outlets, applying marketing strategy and adhering to brand standards. - Conduct project, personnel, client, and industry research as needed.
- Monitor potential client websites, lead generating and procurement platforms, and email notifications for potential opportunity leads.
- Adhere to strategic plan and deadlines as set by supervisor.
- Collaborate with Human Resources on internal communications and events related to marketing.
- Collaborate with Estimating Department for bid-related items.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with A/E/C Industry or related professional services proposal process strongly preferred.
- Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Communication, Journalism, English, or Graphic Design and/or equivalent experience preferred.
- Demonstrate ability to write and communicate in a clear and compelling manner with strong editing and grammar skills and attention to detail.
- Experienced in Adobe InDesign and Creative Suite preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.
- Understanding of layout and/or graphic design preferred.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, while adhering to strict deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills with a “hands-on” and team-oriented attitude.
- Digital Media experience a plus.
- Experience with databases (i.e., CRM, Box) desired.
