General Warehouse/Forklift Operator

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment and possess a strong understanding of warehouse operations. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient materials handling, shipping, and receiving processes.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
• Load and unload products from trucks and containers, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Utilize cherry pickers and order pickers to retrieve items from high storage locations.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
• Assist in maintaining an organized and clean work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to fulfill orders accurately and efficiently.
• Participate in inventory management by tracking incoming and outgoing shipments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a distribution center or warehouse setting.
• Clean NY State Drivers License
• Familiarity with materials handling processes, including shipping and receiving procedures.
• Ability to operate various types of forklifts, including cherry pickers and order pickers.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• A valid forklift operator certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
