S&L Designs was founded over 40 years ago and has an extensive list of happy clients. Our furniture is made to order where clients have the opportunity to customize our existing furniture offerings and they can also choose to request brand new custom designs for their home design projects. As an Inside Sales Representative, your primary responsibility is to assist existing clients with new furniture and drapery hardware orders. New order processing includes quotations, order processing and communicating design details to production. In addition, you will help to grow the business by engaging with new prospects and building strong relationships with designers, outside sales reps and showrooms. This job offers an opportunity for a hybrid work arrangement with part of your time spent working from our Flower Mound, Texas factory and an option to work from home at other times. Work will be performed primarily through phone and email with some potential opportunity for face to face client interaction.

You will be supported by a strong, well established and growth minded team! We will provide sales process training as well as detailed product training. As a member of our team you will be focused on providing an exceptional customer experience and helping up to create a client base of “raving fans”!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create cost estimates for new furniture projects and send to the client
  • Process new purchase orders by inputting all order details into our order management system
  • Help clients to determine proper measurements and size their products to the appropriate dimension
  • Assist clients in choosing the furniture design or drapery hardware that is the best fit for their project
  • Field numerous daily calls coming from both new and existing clients
  • Communicate daily with new and existing clients through email
  • Communicate regularly with the S&L production and design departments
  • Follow up on order status with the production team as requested by the client and report back with details to the client in a timely manner
  • Help to maintain relationships with key outside sales representatives and showrooms
  • Follow up with clients on outstanding projects and sales opportunities
  • Create an outstanding first impression for new prospective clients who contact us for the first time
  • Assist with new design and development opportunities
  • Help to maintain our Instagram account with fresh content
  • Help to manage new product imagery and keep our catalog update
  • Help with development of new product photography and presentation
  • Assist with email marketing campaigns by helping us to select imagery and messaging
  • Generate various reports related to sales activity

Job Qualifications / Skills:

  • 5 years minimum work experience in a customer facing position such as sales, customer service or retail
  • Experience in a furniture related field is a plus
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact well with people
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Excellent phone skills
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Energetic!
  • Ability to understand and communicate basic measurements
  • Ability to understand basic drawings
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience with a CRM, order entry system or Quickbooks is a plus
  • College degree not required but some college coursework is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
