What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Accountant position at S&L Integrated?
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our growing team. You will oversee general accounting duties and perform financial analysis across multiple locations. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage and mentor others. This position reports to our CFO.
What does a typical day look like? You will:
- Handle all daily accounting functions, including, but not limited to: balance sheet and bank reconciliations, adjusts and reconciles accounts, prepares monthly accruals, journal entries, etc.
- Manage inter-company accounting to support financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting and decision-making for multiple locations.
- Coordinate and manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Manage the treasury function for all company bank accounts
- Prepare financial data and provide insights to senior management for strategic planning.
- Manage and mentor other accounting department team members, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with other departments and/or develop/introduce solutions & automations to streamline processes and improve financial performance.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- 3 years hands-on general accounting and financial analysis experience, preferably in a multi-location environment. Must have strong knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong experience setting up and using databases, PivotTable and Microsoft Power BI a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to accomplish work with minimal supervision.

This position is based out of our main office in Thomasville, GA. Initially, you will need to work onsite to learn about us and get familiar with your daily responsibilities. Once there is comfort-level on everyone's part, we are open to a hybrid work arrangement.
